Big Game Hunting in France, Day by Day

Day 1. Arrival, lodge check-in and rifle zero on the range (running boar target, fixed targets, clay shooting available). First high seat session at dusk for wild boar or red deer stag.

Day 2. Full hunting day. Morning spot and stalk for mouflon ram and red deer stag, afternoon rest, evening high seat or tower for wild boar.

Day 3. Morning hunt for any remaining species, afternoon departure or optional extension.

Optional Day 4 and beyond. Additional hunting day with lodging at €420 per day, recommended as a safety margin or if conditions on the first days were difficult.

How You Hunt

The daily rhythm is built around two windows. Mornings are dedicated to spot and stalk for mouflon and red deer, covering open terrain and woodland edges on foot with your Professional Hunter. Afternoons allow rest and preparation. As the light fades, the team moves to high seats and towers for wild boar. The mixed method keeps the experience varied: no two days follow the same pattern, and the guide adapts to animal movement, weather and what has already been taken. Bow hunting is permitted on the estate. Because close-range opportunities take more time, bow hunters should plan additional days beyond the standard three and consult us before booking.

Mouflon Ram

The European mouflon ram is one of the most technically demanding stalks on the continent: alert, fast and usually found on open ground with long sight lines. Your Professional Hunter selects a mature ram with tight, heavy horns before the shot. A recognised SCI trophy.

Red Deer Stag, 10 to 14 Points

The package includes one red deer stag from 10 to 14 points, selected for maturity and symmetry. Whether you connect during the rut or on a quiet November morning, the stag is the centrepiece of the French Big 3.

Mature Wild Boar

Wild boar are taken from high seats and towers in the evening, along known feeding corridors. The guide targets old, solitary males with developed cutters and mature trophy character. This is selective, patient ambush, not driven hunting, and it produces a very different animal from a driven day.

Practical Information

• Duration: 3 hunting days, extendable.
• Season: year-round on a managed estate. Peak windows: red deer rut in September and October, mouflon most visible October to March, wild boar consistent all year.
• Departure point: private estate 100 km from Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS), about one hour.
• Recommended calibre: a versatile rifle in the .270 to .30-06 class covers all three species comfortably.
• Hunting licence: temporary French licence included (€100 per hunter, up to 3 hunting days).
• Fitness level: spot and stalk on hilly ground requires reasonable fitness, high seats are accessible to all.
• Your rifle: bring your own (temporary import permit required for non-EU hunters, we provide the documentation checklist) or rent on site at €50 per day plus ammunition.

Accommodation

The main lodge offers 8 en-suite bedrooms in single or double occupancy, an indoor swimming pool, and a bar and restaurant in a separate traditional stone building. Two additional cottages (3-bedroom and 4-bedroom) are available for larger groups or parties combining hunters and companions. All meals, drinks and open bar are included throughout your stay. The estate is fully self-contained: you arrive, you hunt and you eat well on the same ground.

All-inclusive package: €11,350 for 1 or 2 hunters. The three base trophies (1 mouflon ram, 1 red deer stag, 1 wild boar) are included. The trophy fees below apply only to additional animals taken beyond the package.
