We organise this mouflon hunt on a private, managed estate one hour from Toulouse. Because the herd is hunted on a fenced, privately managed property, trophy rams can be taken year round, unlike free range mountain populations in the Pyrenees or Alps, which follow a restricted seasonal calendar.

Managed ground does not mean an easy shot. The European mouflon remains a wary, sharp eyed quarry, and every approach is a genuine stalk. The primary method is spot and stalk across open terrain and woodland edges, with high seats available when conditions require. Expect shots between 100 and 300 metres across varied ground, and enough fitness to walk several hours.

Your stay day by day

• Day 1. Arrival, lodge check-in, safety briefing, zeroing on the range (running boar target, fixed targets, clay shooting available).
• Day 2. Full hunting day. Spot and stalk or high seat, depending on conditions and your preference.
• Day 3. Morning hunt, field trophy preparation, departure after lunch.
• Optional Day 4 and beyond. Additional hunting day with lodging at 420 euros per day.

The hunting method explained

Your Professional Hunter glasses from elevated ground, locates the rams, then closes the distance on foot and advises on trophy quality before any shot is taken. High seats are used as an alternative when terrain or weather make a stalk impractical. A flat shooting centre fire rifle is recommended for shots between 100 and 300 metres, and rifle rental is available on site. Bow hunting is permitted on this estate, though the distances and terrain mean additional hunting days are typically required to complete a bow stalk. Please consult before booking.

Accommodation

The main lodge offers 8 en-suite bedrooms for single or double occupancy, an indoor swimming pool, and a bar and restaurant in a separate traditional stone building. Two additional cottages (3 bedroom and 4 bedroom) are available for larger groups. All meals, drinks and open bar are included throughout your stay. An on-site range includes a 50 metre running boar target with camera controlled feedback, fixed targets and a sporting clay ground. Range sessions are available at 100 euros per person for roughly 2 hours.

Add-ons and trophy fees

The base animal (1 adult mouflon ram) is included in the package price. The trophy fees above apply to additional animals only.

• Rifle rental: 50 euros per day, ammunition extra.
• Taxidermy: skull 90 euros, skull on wood 160 euros, shoulder mount 495 euros, plus shipping.

The mouflon ram trophy fee is fixed regardless of horn length or trophy score. No size restrictions, no grading, no post hunt surprises.
